I've just finished reading "An Education" by Lynn Barber.
Some of you may have seen the movie, which was based on this book.
I did see the movie and enjoyed it so when I found out there was a book I went ahead and got it.
I'm glad I did.
This is a quick read and is set up more like a series of magazine articles than a heavy autobiography. I have to say that I skimmed through a couple of the chapters dealing with her career as a journalist but I very much enjoyed the chapters dealing with her life at Oxford (after the movie ended), her first job with Penthouse Magazine (what a way to start!) and I cried during the last chapter, which deals with her beloved husband's sickness.
If you're looking for something funny and moving and true, check this out.
I LOVED that movie. Will check this book out, for sure.
