Happy Friday!
Don't you love Labor Day Weekend? I do, too.
I feel like I say this a lot, but I'm tired. And everybody has plans this weekend (out of town) except me. And this includes my parents.
I have to say, however, that I'm looking forward to a weekend to myself. I really wish that we were getting some of the hurricane rain here in Charlotte, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I do think we are going to benefit from some "after the hurricane" weather which is just beautiful. Before I moved to Charlotte, I had never lived in a hurricane zone since we don't have them in West Virginia. What has been a happy discovery is the beautiful weather that you get for a couple of days after a hurricane has blown through.
So I'm gonna sleep this weekend. And do a few things that need to be done around the house. And take some stuff to Goodwill (a frequent goal, but one I think I may actually accomplish this weekend). And I'm listing stuff on Craigslist and some stuff on Ebay. And I need to list the old car.
There is stuff to do, people! Stuff to sell and stuff to clean out of this house. And you know, I've got Beans to tend. Since it is supposed to be cooler on Saturday and Sunday I'm hoping we can get some good walks in.
And I downloaded the new Jennifer Cruisie book, which I'm hoping to love and I'm pretty sure it won't put me through the emotional wringer that 'Let's Take the Long Way Home' did. Geesh! That book just about killed me last weekend and I've been wiped out all week from it. In a good way, but still. I've just been grief stricken.
So anyway....
I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. If you're on the East Coast and in the path of Earl, stay in and stay dry. And everyone stay safe.
And I'll see you on Tuesday.
