Paris - Part I

I thought I'd break this up a bit - make it easier for me and probably a little more entertaining for y'all.

We arrived in Paris on Tuesday morning.  It was cold there and we were exhausted.  We hopped in a cab and had the LONGEST cab ride of our life.  I blamed it on Paris rush hour traffic and an inexperienced cab driver.

We arrived at our hotel at around 9 a.m. Paris time and - because God loves me better - the room was ready so we checked in, took hot showers and crashed until early afternoon.  It was divine.

When we got up it was a little warmer so we decided to walk to the Eiffel Tower and stretch our legs and get the lay of the land.

From the Eiffel Tower, we went across the river and down to the Champs Elysees - and wandered down the street....

Here's a cool shot of the Arc de Triomphe

Guerlain.....

And the window at Guerlain...

Cool intersection!

We called it an early evening, since we were both still pretty jet-lagged and crashed.  Not the best, most fun day of our trip because it was still a little chilly and we were extremely tired.  But we were excited that we at least went out and about for a little while.
