Random Pretty Man
This week's Random Pretty Man is Josh Lucas!
Because I said so.....
And also? I love his voice. I'm a sucker for a good voice.
Love Story
I re-read Love Story last weekend.
I feel like I'm a total cheese ball for loving it... but I do. And I have the OLD copy of it, too, which I bought in a used book store when I was in law school.
Which is kinda cool - even if it is cheesy.

Shellac!
I know I'm probably coming late to this party, but did y'all know about Shellac?
If you didn't, you may want to check it out. Now.
The skinny is that it's a nail polish that's cured like acrylic nails. But it is only polish. It doesn't destroy your nail bed or make your nails thick or anything like that.
And it last for 2 weeks without chipping. Seriously.
It may have saved my life. Or maybe I'm overstating it. But it's definitely very cool.

Wednesday - Run Away Without Leaving Home
Pancake Dreams
Monday night I dreamed I was having a party.
I had a chef serving people at one of those serving stations.
The choices were:
Banana - Nutella CrepesI've been practicing law too long....
Chocolate Chip Pancakes
Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Obamacare
I was looking for an image for this post and this one made me laugh. So I decided to use it, even though it may or may not have anything to do with the content herein.
I suppose that depends on your point of view.
I am not really sure that our health care reform is going to work, but I am sure (based on things I see in my legal practice) that we have to try to do something.
I thought this article was interesting. I'm hoping the statistics are correct.

A Little Extra Pretty Man
It's Already Tomorrow
So, I'm a HUGE Foster & Lloyd fan - and a HUGE Radney Foster fan.... More of a Radney girl if you really want to get down to it....
But -
Foster & Lloyd has a new album out. And if you love them go buy it. And if you've never heard of them, go check them out. And while you're at it buy all of Radney Foster's stuff while you're at it.
That is all.
This Charming Closet
I'm in love with this outfit, even though it's for winter and I'm not built to wear belts....

Happy Monday
Hi, everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend.
This is a short week at work for me - I'm taking Friday off in order to have an extra long Memorial Day weekend. So that's exciting.
I have to say that I've been in an exhausted funk since I got home from Paris. I'm run down and tired and my mind is running to dark and unhappy places. And I hate it when I feel this way.
The truth is - that as fun as my trip was, it wasn't restful and then I came home sick and fighting a major sinus infection. And I'm just as tired now as I was when I left. I'm fed up and burnt out and tired.
How's that for a Monday ray of sunshine?
Yeah - believe me when I tell you that I'm sick of myself, too.
So I hope we'll have a good week.
We'll see.

Paris - Part VIII
Sunday morning we headed up to Montmartre after breakfast at our hotel.
I think that the Abessess train station is one of the more beautiful ones in Paris.
Then up the steps to the Sacre-Couer
And then we walked around town for a while and had lunch.
Lots of graffiti up there -
Loved the name of this place -
And then we had a little lunch... beer and croque monsieur ...

Paris - Part IX
On Sunday we walked down to the Luxembourg Gardens - only about a 5 minute walk from our hotel...
It was awesome. It is my new favoritest place in the world.
Specifically, I loved the Medici Fountain. It was originally built in 1630. That's personally a little hard to wrap my head around. Basically, this fountain is older than our ENTIRE COUNTRY...
If I lived in Paris, I would go to the Medici Fountain every day.
I would have my own little green chair there. I would not share it with anyone else.
This guy was both scary and a little hot, at the same time.
Basically, this garden shows what I love about Paris. People were hanging out, barefoot, reading, eating, kids were playing, dogs were laying around. One lady and her husband brought supper and their poodle and she unpacked him his own little water dish and they had a picnic.
Finn and Lola would dig that. They would also herd all those children around.
