The new table arrived from Wisteria today and packages from Wisteria are always cause for celebration here at Chateau Bee Charmer.
It is shiny and pretty!
We put it next to the New Ugly Chair in the guest room.
As discussed last week, we recently sent our Old Ugly Chair off to be reupholstered and it isn't ugly anymore. Since I am always a girl in search of a household decorating project, you can only imagine my happiness when I discovered the New Ugly Chair at a consignment store in Mooresville! It is perfectly suited for this little corner of our guest room and I knew that the new aluminum side table would complement it's shape and height - don't ask me how I knew, I just did - and you know I love it when a plan comes together.
The chair is super cute but it is covered in cheapy cheap gray vinyl and the upholstery job is less than spectacular. Therefore, it will be going off to Darren as soon as I am able to locate some appropriate velvet to recover it in. I went over to Calico Corners during lunch yesterday but, of course, the fabric I fell in love with was pewter colored velvet that costs $65.00 per yard.
Damn! Sometimes I hate having such good taste!
I guess I will just have to keep looking. I am sure that I can find something that will do.
